We have structured our firm and built our infrastructure in a manner that most effectively allows us to reach out to physicians. Our leadership team includes a physician who serves as our Executive Vice President and Chief Medical Officer. This position provides leadership that keeps us clearly focused and grounded on our vision of physician engagement. He interacts with our candidates in order to ensure congruency between their motivation for finding a new position and our clients’ needs. Additionally, we have created a Physician Advisory Committee that is comprised of representatives from the major specialties. This committee serves as a touch-point to practicing physicians and provides valuable insight into how to effectively source candidates in today’s challenging physician recruitment environment.
We believe in pay-for-performance, as reflected in our professional services contract. In order to ensure aligned incentives and cash-flow management for our clients, we bill 1/3rd of our fee at the time the client enters into contract with us, 1/3rd when the first qualified candidate interviews at your facility, and the remaining 1/3rd when your selected candidate accepts an offer to join your organization. Via this methodology, a full 2/3rds of our fee is placed at-risk and is contingent upon: a) sourcing candidates who will actually interview in person at your organization and b) placement success. Also, all placements are unconditionally guaranteed for one full year. Horton Smith offers services beyond traditional physician recruitment.
